Dr. Setzer enjoys attending USC Gamecock football games, boating, scouting, and spending tome with his wife, four children, and four cats. Queen Lesslie

**Queen Lesslie just lets Dr. Setzer think he owns Lesslie Animal Hospital, but in actuality it is Lesslie who "rules the roost!" She, more often than not, will be in her throne on the counter upfront to greet you when you come in.** She was found in a tree outside our animal hospital trying to escape the grasps of dogs. We found 6 kittens with her over the next two days. Lesslie was extremely tired, thin, and had intestinal parasites. We took her and her 6 kittens in, and she ate like she hadn't eaten in a month! After a few days we had 6 little kittens running around the lobby playing like kittens should. We put up flyers for kittens available to a good home and placed all 6. We initially were also trying to place Lesslie but she still had a very lackluster hair coat as she was still recovering from motherhood. She received much needed care and attention and she shocked us through her recovery by becoming a long haired cat. We spayed her and of course by now she had purred her way into our hearts. Lesslie is so laid back and used to the loudness and chaos of being in a veterinary lobby that when she is sleeping we frequently have clients become startled when she moves because they thought she wasn't real. She is frequently found sitting on the laps of clients she just met comforting them and giving moral support while their pets are waiting to be seen. She also writes a quarterly newsletter called Lesslie's News and of course she is on the front cover. After she grew all of her hair back, and now that her coat blinds the eye with shininess, we have had several requests for adoption but of course her staff and I wouldn't even consider it. She is now a part of the Lesslie Animal Hospital family.
